While the song ‘'kalavaramaye madilo' was rendered by P.Leela and Ghantasala, we find N.T.Rama Rao and Malathi performing on screen. The specialty of this song is its brief ‘pallavi’ and short ‘charanams’. If we listen to this song with interludes, it might appear to be of normal length.  If we look at the words of this song, it looks quite short and contains very simple words of Telugu.  Anyone who does not understand this lyric has to be considered as a person who does not know even the basics of Telugu language. The expression ‘kalavaramaye madilo’ has taken deep roots in popular usage, and still alive in the form of titles of stories, titles of parodies, and is used in dialog to suit the context. In the ‘charanams’, making use of a flute bit immediately after ‘mellaga veena mrogindi’ is quite appropriate.  It may not appear significant these days. The lyricist elaborately describes the the sari of the heroine, and we find her wearing jeans-pants and shirt on screen these days. Times have changed . . . We do think of the meticulous planning of yesteryears, don’t we?
