While this dance song is rendered by Jikki and chorus, we  find Lakshmikantha as the main dancer performing the dance. S.V.Ranga Rao, N.T.Rama Rao, Padmanaabham, Balakrishna, Vallam Narasimha Rao and others appear in this scene. Pingali used his pen to coin queer words like ‘cheliyani’, ‘bhaliyani’, ‘sareyani’, ‘chelaamani-kuy kuy kuyile’, and ‘gumigumile’. Coming to the music composition of ‘vagaloyi vagalu', the tune of this song is inspired by a gypsy song of a Hollywood movie The Loves of Carmen (1948) that the heroine Rita Hayworth  sings in her gypsy role: ‘la la loo’. In this song, whenever the word ‘thaluku’ appears, Jikki places more pressure on the sound ‘tha’, and consequently brings an elegant stress and rhythm to the song. The original name of Jikki is Krishnaveni.  Her name is shown as Krishnaveni (Jikki) in the credits. Keeping this aside, when Bhairavadweepam was produced on Vijaya banner, the music director Madhavapeddi Suresh made S.Jaanaki sing ‘naruda o naruda emi korika’.  In the composition he was inspired by ‘la la loo’ from The Loves of Carmen (1948) as well as ‘vagaloyi vagalu' from this movie.  If you find these two songs, listen to them one after the other, and you will see the similarity. We can find the inspiration of ‘la la loo’ in the movie Naaga with Junior NTR as hero in the song ‘oka kontepillane choosa’. In this way, ‘la la loo’ of Rita Hayworth has a unique place in inspiring songs of three generations: Paathaala Bharavi of Senior NTR, Bhairava Dweepam of Balakrishna, and Naaga of Junior NTR. Another noteworthy point is that a perfectionist like Naushad could not escape from the influence of ‘la la loo’ of Rita Hayworth! He made use of ‘la la loo’ in the movie Jaadu of 1951 in the song ‘jab nain milay’.

' చెలియని/భళియని/సరేయని/చెలామణి/ కుయ్ కుయ్ కుయిలే/గుమిగుమిలే ' ఇవన్నీ పింగళి వారి పాళీ కేళీలు. ఇక సంగీతపరంగా చెప్పలంటే 1948 లో 'ది లవ్స్ ఆఫ్ కార్ మెన్ ' అనే చిత్రం విడుదలయింది. ఆ చిత్రంలో రీటా హేవర్త్ హీరోయిన్, ఆమె జిప్సీ డాన్స్ చేస్తూ అభినయించిన 'లలలూ లలలూ'' అనే గీతం ఈ 'వగలోయ్ వగలూ' కి ప్రేరణ. ఈ పాటలో 'తళుకు ' అని వచ్చినప్పుడల్లా జిక్కి 'థళుకు ' అని పలకటం వల్ల 'తళుకు ' కి ఓ అందమైన ఒత్తిడి, ఊపు  వచ్చాయి. జిక్కి అసలు పేరు కృష్ణవేణి. అందుకే టైటిల్స్ లో కృష్ణవేణి అంటూ బ్రాకెట్లో జిక్కి అని కూడా ఉంచారు. ఇదిలా ఉండగా విజయావారు 'భైరవద్వీపం' సినిమాను తీసినప్పుడు ఎస్.జానకి చేత పాడించిన 'నరుడ ఓ నరుడా ఏమి కోరికా ' అనే పాటను సంగీత దర్శకుడు  మాధవ పెద్ది సురేష్ అటు ఆ 'లవ్స్ ఆఫ్ కార్ మెన్ ' లోని 'లలలూ లలలూ'' పాటని, ఇటు ఈ 'వగలోయ్ వగలు ' పాటని కలిపి ఇన్ స్పిరేషన్ గా తీసుకున్నాడు. దొరికితే ఈ రెండు పాటల్నీ మార్చి మార్చి విని చూడండి పోలిక తెలుస్తుంది. ఇదిలా వుండగా జూనియర్ ఎన్టీయార్ నటించిన 'నాగ' సినిమాలో 'ఒక కొంటె పిల్లనే చూశా' పాటలోకూడా ఈ 'లలలూ' ఇన్ స్పిరేషన్ ని తీసుకున్నారు. ఇలా రీటా హేవర్త్  'లలలూ' - 'పాతాళ భైరవి'లో సీనియర్ ఎన్టీయార్ కనిపించిన పాటకి , 'భైరవ ద్వీపం'లో బాలకృష్ణ కనిపించిన పాటకి, 'నాగ' లో జూనియర్ ఎన్టీయార్ నటించిన పాటకి - ఇలా మూడు తరాలకి ఇన్ స్పిరేషన్ గా నిలిచిందన్నమాట.  మరో ముఖ్యమైన విషయం ఏమిటంటే నౌషాద్ వంటి పెర్ఫెక్షనిస్ట్ కూడా ఈ రీటా హేవర్త్ 'లలలూ' నుంచి తప్పించుకోలేక పోయాడు. 1951లో వచ్చిన 'జాదూ' సినిమాలో 'జబ్ నైన్ మిలే ' పాటలో వాడుకున్నాడు.
